Henry Fonda stars in this romantic comedy set in 1850s New York. When he realizes that he needs to supplement his farming income, Dan Harrow (Fonda) takes a job on a canal boat. There, he meets and falls head over heels for beautiful Molly Larkins (Janet Gaynor), the daughter of the ship’s cook, much to her father’s dismay.
